Terms and Conditions
- The airport transfer service is complimentary for international patients.
- One accompanying person is allowed.
- Each patient is limited to one piece of luggage (cabin or medium size).
- Bookings must be made at least two working days before arrival.
- All transfer arrangements are subject to confirmation by our International Patient Care team at Sunway Medical Centre Penang.
- Please ensure your Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) is completed before your arrival. You can submit it at https://imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main
- Arrival Meeting Point: Upon arrival at Penang International Airport, please proceed to the MHTC counter. Our driver will meet you there.
- Reservations can be made Monday to Friday from 8.00am - 5.00pm, and Saturday from 8.00am - 1.00pm. The service is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
Advance booking is required. Please ensure your medical appointment and flight details are confirmed before submitting your transfer request.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make an appointment?
Please contact our International Patient Centre (IPC) team via WhatsApp or email. Share your medical concern, preferred doctor, preferred appointment date, passport copy, and any available medical reports or test results. Our team will assist you in arranging your appointment.
Should I book my flight before confirming my appointment?
No. We recommend confirming your appointment with our team before booking your flight to avoid any changes to your travel plans.
Can you help with airport pick-up and accommodation?
Yes. We provide complimentary two-way airport transfers for international patients and can assist in arranging accommodation at nearby hotels with special rates, subject to availability and applicable terms and conditions.
Reservations for both airport transfers and hotel accommodation must be made at least 2 working days in advance.
Can you help with visa extensions?
Yes. We can assist in preparing the necessary supporting documents for your visa extension.
Please prepare the following documents, if applicable:
- One passport-sized photograph (3.5 cm × 4.5 cm) with a blue background for each applicant.
- Proof of relationship between the patient and companion (e.g. marriage certificate, family card, or birth certificate).
How can I obtain my medical reports after returning home?
You may download the Sunway Medical Centre Penang App to access your radiology reports.
