Neurosurgery is a surgical discipline that provides surgical options to address conditions affecting the central and peripheral nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and extra-cranial cerebrovascular system.

Central & Peripheral Nervous System

The central nervous system in humans comprises of the brain (together with the nerves existing from it) and spinal cord; whereas the spinal nerves arising from the cord and traveling out from there represent the peripheral nervous system.
