Types of Strokes

There are three primary classifications of stroke, and each requires a completely different medical response.

Ischaemic Stroke - Occurs when a blood vessel supplying the brain becomes blocked, usually by a blood clot.
Haemorrhagic Stroke - Occurs when a blood vessel in or around the brain ruptures and bleeds.
